The Curious Needle Makeup Bag Review + What's In My Makeup Bag?

Hello Lovlies! Welcome back to Sense Of Beauty! Today's blog post is based on a review of a Curious Needle Makeup Bag + What's In My Make-Up Bag?

Review : The Curious Needle Makeup Bag

I purchased this makeup bag about 3 months ago at a Fair for €15. I LOVE IT! The material is excellent quality and so is the stitching. The make-up bag is the perfect size to hold my make-up and to fit into my handbag. Sometimes I find makeup bags can have a stiff material but this material is so soft.

The makeup bag is the ideal size. I haven't experienced any stitching becoming loose or anything which is great! I haven't washed the make-up bag yet but because of the material it should be fine! I really love this makeup bag! If anyone is finding it difficult to find a Christmas present, these are definitely an excellent idea! The Curious Needle have so many fabric's and they can be made into makeup bags and pencil cases. I honestly can not find a fault with this product! I LOVE IT! I bring it everywhere with me! When I take it out to touch up my makeup I get so many compliments!

What's In My Makeup Bag?

Here's an overview of everything I can fit in my makeup bag! This is what I carry in my makeup bag in my handbag! This is makeup I wouldn't use everyday but I want to carry with me in case I need to touch up my makeup or if there's an emergency!

Firstly I like to carry some necessities in case of an emergency.
The Parisian tin case holds feminine products. I really like it because it hides them.
I like to carry Panadol in case of head aches and Motillium.
I like to carry Strepsils and plasters too.

Secondly I like to carry perfume and a small can of deodorant. These are definitely a necessity!

I carry makeup brushes to touch up my powder, concealer and eyeshadows. These are just random brushes that I usually don't gravitate towards when applying my makeup at home. They're from Superdrug, Dunnes, Sammy Dress & Essence.

I carry hair bobbles, hair grips, fake nail glue and fake eyelash glue.

Here's a list of the makeup I carry:
The Natural Collection Pressed Powder in Neutral
2True Cheek'n'Lip Tint in Blush Pink
Flarmar Perfect Coverage Liquid Concealer in 01
Luxurious Lashes Black Mascara in Volume & Length (Superdrug)
MUA Undress Me Too Eyeshadow Palette
•17 Lip Stain in Berry Crush
Sleek Makeup Pout Polish in Bonaire
Natural Bees Wax Lipbalm
Compact Mirror

That's everything in my makeup bag! Doesn't the makeup bag hold so much?

If you want something quirky and unique, The Curious Needle is definitely the place to go! The customer service is excellence! I'm in "AWH" everytime I look at the facebook page! Everything is super cute and so inexpensive! I LOVE IT!

Kardashian Kollection at Lipsy : My Favourites ♥

Hello! Welcome back to Sense Of Beauty! Today, Lipsy released Kim, Khloe & Kourtney's new Winter 2014 fashion line. I've had a look on the Lipsy website and here's a few of my favourites!

Don't they look gorgeous in this photo?
http://www.lipsy.co.uk/store/kardashian

The collection includes 59 items; clothes, shoes, jewellery, handbags and purses! It features black, white, coral and lace.

My Top Picks:

1. Kardashian Tux Jacket £65
http://www.lipsy.co.uk/store/kardashian/kardashian-tux-jacket/product-is-JK00094_001

Black and white is big trend this A/W. It was no surprise that the majority of their clothes is black. The black trim on the jacket gives it some edge. I LOVE IT!

2. Kardashian Contrasting Piping Tux Trousers £45
http://www.lipsy.co.uk/store/kardashian/kardashian-contrasting-piping-tux-trousers/product-is-BT00767_011

Lately I've been loving wearing trousers instead of jeans. The jacket and the trousers would look so classy together but I think £110 can be a bit steep for both! I love the white piping along the side of the trousers. I love it on Kourtney!

3. Kardashian Lace Halter Neck Jumpsuit £75

Khloe looks gorgeous in this lace jumpsuit and surprise, surprise it's black! I love the trousers of the jumpsuit! Love it!

4. Kardashian Kollecton Jet Set Crowd Flapover Wallet £32
http://www.lipsy.co.uk/store/kardashian/kardashian-kollection-jet-set-crowd-flapover-wallet/product-is-EA00100_130

Coral and tan is gorgeous together! The wrist strap is a nice feature on the purse for when you're not carrying your bag and just want to run to the shop. The Kardashian Kollection plaque on the front is a nice touch.

5. Kardashian Kollection Jet Set Tote £58
http://www.lipsy.co.uk/store/kardashian/kardashian-kollection-jet-set-tote/product-is-EA00101_130

Again the coral and tan is a gorgeous combination. If you're shopping for that someone special the purse and the bag would be a great gift. The bag and the purse is £90 together which can be a bit steep. The bag comes with both a short strap and a longer strap.

None of the jewellery or shoes caught my eye. Without a doubt, the clothes are definitely on trend for Winter 2014. The colour scheme is definitely predictable for the Kardashians with the black and white. The 3 beaut's are looking gorgeous in the campaign photos! The prices are a bit high! I would definitely take a look! They have some really nice bits!

My Travels : Dun Laoghaire + Kildare Outlet Village

Hello! Welcome back to Sense Of Beauty! Today's blog post is going to be a little bit different. Yesterday (26.10.14), I went shopping with my mum, little sister and little brother. I thought I would write a post about where I was.

We first drove to Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. We went to the East Pier and it was amazing! So beautiful and overwhelming! You would never think it was in Dublin! When I think of Dublin, I think industrialisation and commercialisation but this was so different!

The sea was a beautiful colour and the weather was lovely! The pier was so clean and tidy. It was gorgeous! Here's a photo of my little brother, little sister and I.

After Dun Laoghaire, we drove 45 mins to the Kildare Outlet Village. We had never been here before but we were eager to have a look around. An outlet is usually designer brands that are either last season or damaged at a discounted price.

Some stores that are in Kildare Outlet Village include; Cath Kidston, Juicy Couture, Nike, Mulberry, Pandora, Superdry, Links, Ted Baker & much more! When we arrived at the Outlet Village, it was packed with people. The Bank Holiday Weekend definitely encouraged people to come out and spend.

The Outlet Village was beautiful. So clean and tidy. It looked like something from America. Every shop we went into was jammed with people. People have definitely began their Christmas shopping! I felt some shops were very claustrophobic but I think a contributor to that was the Bank Holiday Weekend.

I really enjoyed my shopping experience here. I think it would be lovely to shop at around Christmas time when all the Christmas lights are up. My favourite shops had to have been Cath Kidston, Superdry, Ted Baker and Juicy Couture. They also had a Starbucks in the Village so if you got thirsty while shopping you could take a coffee break.

The Outlet Village had shops for both men and women. They had Sport shops; Nike & Basics. Not only did this Village provide fashion and jewellery, it also provided kitchen appliances and equipment. For those that wish to begin their Christmas shopping and want to gift designer items, the Kildare Outlet Village is definitely the place for you. It is only 45 mins away from Dublin so if you didn't find everything you needed, you could drive to Liffey Valley or Dundrum.

I will definitely return to the Kildare Outlet Village. I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

Day Trip TO Galway : OOTD, MOTD & Haul

Hello Lovlies! Yesterday I went to Galway shopping and I picked up a few bits! Today's blog is an OOTD, MOTD and haul from yesterday!

Galway is a great spot for shopping! I never used to enjoy shopping in Galway but recently I've started enjoying shopping a lot more! They have a wide selection of shops like Penneys, New Look, JD Sport, River Island, Topshop, Oasis, Schuh and much more!

Here's a look at my OOTD & MOTD:

-Shirt: Penneys
-Sweatshirt: Penneys €6
-Skirt: Swamp €15, reduced from €40
-Tights: Penneys €3, pack of 3
-Boots: Sara €35

-Bracelets: New Look & Penneys €2-€3
-Bag: Ebay €12

-Cien Moisturising Cream

-MAC Prolongwear Foundation in NC15
-W7 Go Concealer
-Natural Collection Pressed Powder in Neutral
-Sleek Contour Palette in Medium
-Art Deco Blush in 44

-W7 Eyebrow Palette
-Rimmel London Eyebrow Gel in Medium Brown
-W7 In The Buff Eyeshadow Palette
-NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Black
-Maybelline Falsies Mascara
-Random taupe lipliner

Here's a look at my Haul:

The first purchase I made was in Penneys! The Penneys in Galway is great! The Make-Up section in it is brilliant! I was so excited when I seen that they stocked Wet'n'Wild!! Majority of the make-up on their Wet'n'Wild stand was €2.99! I'm a devil for dark lipsticks especially in Autumn and Winter so it wasn't a surprise that I picked up two dark lipsticks! I picked up "Sugar Plum Fairy" and "Cherry Bomb". Both lipsticks were €2.99 each. After having a look around Galway, Wet'n'Wild is also available in Cara Pharmacy in Galway!

My next item was a treat from my other half (Thanks Shane!), Shane bought me these shorts from Oasis. The shorts were originally €35 but were reduced to €15. The floral print is super cute! They would be perfect with a crop top or even on holidays!

Collection was a make-up brand I discovered in Northern Ireland a few years ago. I purchased the Lasting Perfection Concealer in "01 Fair" and LOVED it! I repurchased it a few times but then I stopped shopping in the north and found other concealers that I enjoyed. I was a very happy girl when I found that Boots in Galway stocked Collection. I purchased this concealer for €4.99!

The final purchase is definitely my favourite and most unexpected! I went for a look around in Brown Thomas at the make-up and on the way out their Longchamp stand caught my eye. I always loved the way Longchamps looked. I bought a similar bag on eBay for around €12 this time last year and I loved it. I wore the bag I purchased off eBay yesterday. I had a look at the Longchamp display and found the navy bag and I loved it. I decided to puchase the bag. It was €78 but it will definitely be a staple in my wardrobe. I LOVE IT! :)

Review : NYC Liquid Eyeliner

HIIIIII :D Welcome back to SenseOfBeauty! Today's blog post is a review of the NYC Liquid Eyeliner!

I have the liquid eyeliner in the shade "887 Black". This is my second tube of this eyeliner! I LOVE IT! The eyeliner can be purchased in Penneys and also some chemists! The eyeliner is €2.99 in Penneys. It can be purchased in both Black and a shimmery black. I didn't read the label correctly when I purchased my previous tube of this and I accidentally picked up the shimmery black! The shimmery black wasn't overpowering but you could definitely tell it wasn't blackest black.

I am definitely a girl who loves her liquid eyeliner. I have to finish any eyeshadow look with some liquid eyeliner. Eyeliner can help make your eyelashes look thick and full. If you're wearing fake eyelashes, liquid eyeliner can help cover the lash band to help make them more natural looking. Liquid eyeliner can also help change the appearance of your eyes. Adding a point to your inner tear duct can give a more feminine and feline appearance. Definitely a top tip for anyone thinking about dressing up as a cat for halloween!

The tip of the eyeliner is a decent size. The tip allows you create both skinny and thicker looks. Especially when you first purchase the eyeliner, I find it's very watery and liquidy. You do have to allow it to dry. I usually do my eyeliner and then finish my face make-up and then come back to my mascara. Sometimes but not regularly I can find that when I curl my eyelashes the eyelash curler can rub some of the eyeliner off. A contributor of this can be the build up of mascara on the eyelash curler.

For an eyeliner I really like it. For the price I think it's great! It's really easy to work with and the black is opaque. It lasts the day when I'm at work but towards the end of the evening when I rub my eyes it can begin to smudge. But after 10 hours wear and when work is finished I don't really mind that.

If you give it a try definitely let me know! Out of 10 I give it a 7/10.

Penneys' Stocking Filler Ideas for Christmas! ☃ ♥

Hello Lovlies! Welcome back to SenseOfBeauty! Believe it or not it's just over 2 months till Christmas!! YAY! The evenings are getting darker, the weather is getting colder and hot chocolates are being made! I must admit, Winter is my favourite time of year; the christmas lights, layering your clothes and movie nights with fluffy pj's I LOVE!

Halloween hasn't arrived yet but if you're anything like me you like to start christmas shopping early! Some benefits to start your christmas shopping early:

❄Spreading out your purchasing of presents can be less straining on your purse. You won't miss a few euro every week!

❄A lot of shops now offer Christmas Clubs and Deposits. These shops start to offer these Christmas Clubs around this time of year to allow you to slowly pay off on your presents. I think Christmas Clubs are a really good idea!

❄Some shops are holding large sales around this time of year. You can purchase gifts at a reduced price! Great prices for great presents!

❄Closer to Christmas many shop products become sold out and there may be the possibility that the store won't be able to re-stock them before Christmas! Buying presents now ensures you buy the product before it becomes sold out or unavailable!

There's some advantages of starting your Christmas shopping early! I was recently shopping in Penneys Sligo and Penneys Ballina and found these few bits that I think would be perfect as Stocking Fillers!

Let's get this list started with a Christmas themed stocking filler! Aren't these glitter crackers SO CUTE?! Only for €2! They're so cute I don't think I'd even want to crack them!

I found Halloween versions of these so I was so excited when I spotted these Christmas themed fake nails! These would be perfect to be added to a stocking, their small and only cost €1.50! Perfect for Christmas Day!

Staying on the theme of nails, these nail kits are only €2! They include a separator, a nail file, a nail scrub, a nail trimmer and a cuticle pusher. If you bought these you could maybe create a theme for your stocking! Maybe you could plan a "Self Pamper Stocking". You could include this with a face mask, bath bombs and nail polishes!

Lip balms and lip glosses are always a winner in my books! Check out how cute the Macaroon styled lip gloss is?! AND it's only €1.50!! I was really intrigued when I spotted these Balmi lip balms in Penneys! They immediately reminded me of the EOS lip balms that are available in America. They are €3.50 and are available in a variety of flavours like raspberry and mint. They come with a key chain; the lip balm I picked up came with a free lanyard.

Penneys have really improved their A-game with their selection of make-up products available in-store! This eyeshadow palette is only €3.50! For those beginning with make-up (teenagers) or make-up enthusiasts this would be perfect! I think there's never to much eyeshadows a person can have in their make-up collection!

This is the last beauty related item in this list. It's a dupe for the Beauty Blender! I bought a cosmopoliton version in Superdrug in Enniskillen 2 years ago and I recently bought the Real techniques version and I love them! If this Penneys version is anything like the real techniques version this will be their favourite make-up tool for foundation and concealer!

These hand warmers are super cute! They're only €1.50 and are available in a variety of colours. I got one for Christmas last year! They are really cool! These are perfect for anyone who loves those techy bits and pieces. Also, they really do work!!

For any music lovers these headphones are perfect and are only €3! They don't have much packaging so they'll be perfect as a stocking filler!

Last but not least these large blanket scarves are so popular this Autumn/Winter! The scarves vary from €6-€7 but are definitely worth every cent! They're so warm and cosy and are perfect for the colder weather!
