4 Different Techniques Of Wearing A Blanket Scarf | Sense Of Beauty

Hello Lovlies! Welcome back to Sense Of Beauty! I came up with 4 different ways of wearing a blanket scarf, this blog post shows you how! They are super easy and really quick!

Firstly, blanket scarves have become a HUGE A/W trend of 2014. Not only are they fashionable, they definitely keep you warm and cosy! I never take mine off! They are all over the highstreet! I really love the selection Penneys have to offer. They range from about €6-€7, which is an absolute STEAL! Penneys stock a variety of patterns also!

This is the scarf I used for the different techniques. It's from Penneys and I bought it for €6!

The first technique is definitely the easiest. I didn't include a photo tutorial for this one. I called this one the 'Casual Scarf'. All you have to do is place the scarf flat on your shoulders. Allow the scarf to fall over your shoulders. THAT'S IT! Super Easy!

The second technique is just as easy as the first! All you'll need is a belt and a scarf. This one is useful for windier days! It ensures your scarf does not move. It also creates the illusion that the scarf is a shrug or cape. Let's get into the tutorial.

Follow on from the 1st technique; Casual Scarf. Once you have the scarf around your shoulders, tie a belt around your waist. Don't forget to adjust the look once you've tied the belt. I really like this one! It definitely changes the look of your blanket scarf!

The third technique; Knotted scarf, is definitely my favourite technique. A huge scarf has been transformed into such a small design!

This one is definitely more difficult than the previous two! First your going to begin with wrapping the scarf once around your neck; so there is a piece hanging down on your right and left like picture 3. Step 4 involves you placing your hand through the loop and grabbing the scarf on your left side. In Step 5 you pull the left side of the scarf up through the loop, towards the right. Step 6 involves you taking the scarf that's on your right side and pushing it down through the loop. Basically, you have just pulled the scarf on your left side up through the loop. For the right side, instead of pulling it up through the loop like the left, you push it down the loop. In step 7 and 8, you adjust the scarf.

The Wrap Around Scarf is the fourth and final technique.

Similar to the third technique, wrap the scarf around your neck once. In step 6, take the right end of the scarf and wrap it underneath the right inside of the scarf. In step 7, fix the right end of the scarf. In Step 8 + 9, complete the same steps (6 + 7), to the left side of the scarf. In Step 10, adjust the scarf until you are happy with the outcome.

That's it! That's the four techniques of wearing a blanket scarf! I hope you enjoyed this! I also hope the photo tutorials were easy to understand! If you enjoy photo tutorials like this, please let me know!
