Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Hello Lovlies! Welcome back to Sense Of Beauty! Today's blogpost will be skincare related! I will be reviewing the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water!

I picked this up in Penneys for only €4.50! The bottle contains 400ml, that's a really good sized bottle! It recommends that you only require 2ml per usage. So, that's 200 uses!!

Let's get started on the review! :)

Packaging:

Packaging definitely plays a very important role when buying products. If the product's packaging doesn't attract you towards it, then you won't pick it up and buy it! I really enjoy the packaging of this product. It is a clear bottle, which is very easy to see how much of the product is left. It is very easy to read the information from the bottle. It's plain and simple! I give this product's packaging a big thumbs up!! :)

Product Review:

I was really intrigued to give this a try when I spotted this in Penneys! When I first spotted this product, I was immediately reminded of the Bioderma Cleansing Water. The Bioderma products aren't easily accessible in Ireland.

I really enjoy this product! It recommends that you need to wash your face before and after, for anyone who is in a rush or travelling, this is very convenient! I am definitely one who wants to take my makeup off with as little time and effort as possible, so this product is perfect!

To remove my makeup, I applied a small drop of this onto a cotton pad (Lidl) and I removed my makeup.  I divided my face into 6 sections (similar to my skincare routine, I'll link it lower down). I used a new cotton pad for each section of my face; my neck, my right cheek, my left cheek, my forehead, my right eye and my left eye.

This stuff works magic! It works really well with removing any makeup, even mascara and eyeliner! I don't have sensitive skin, and this didn't sting my skin or anything! Once, I applied a little too much liquid onto a cotton pad and removed my eye makeup, and it did sting my eyes. I don't have sensitive eyes so I was very surprised that my eyes began to sting! The following night, I applied less liquid and thankfully, it didn't sting my eyes!!

This stuff is great! I really recommend you give this a shot! I don't know how this will react with those who have sensitive skin, although it does state on the bottle that it is even for sensitive skin.

LIDL SKINCARE??! My Skincare Routine | April 2015 ❤

Hello Lovlies! Welcome back to Sense Of Beauty! Today's blogpost will be a description of the skincare routine I've been enjoying for the past few months. It involves really inexpensive products I picked up in Lidl too!

Before we get started on my skincare routine, let me explain my skin type first! I have normal-dry skin. I'm lucky that I don't struggle with sensitive skin or eyes. Sometimes, I can be lazy and I don't take off my makeup (I know, that is the worst thing I could do for my skin!!).

Anyways, let's get started with my skincare routine! :)

ISEREE Refreshing Facial Wipes:
Where: Lidl
Price: €0.79

To remove makeup quickly and easily, I like to use these makeup wipes. They take off my makeup easily and are very gentle on the skin. When storing my makeup wipes, I like to place the packet upside down. This ensures the moisture holds in the wipes on the top of the packet. The makeup wipes don't hurt my eyes when I take off my mascara. The packet contains 25 toilettes. These makeup wipes are great quality! They are great at removing makeup. I like to use these for fast and easy makeup removal. They do a great job! :)

Cien Cleansing Milk & Facial Toner:

Where: Lidl
Price: €1.59 each
Cotton Pads Price: €0.79

I picked up the Cien Cleansing Milk & Facial Toner on special in Lidl a few months back. I can't remember but I'm pretty sure it was to buy the two products for €3.00. What a good deal?! Down below I will list the steps of my skincare routine when using these products. I really enjoy using these products!

Cien Gentle Cleansing Milk Review:
I have been really enjoying this Cleansing Milk to remove my makeup. It easily takes off the makeup from my face. I find it very nourishing and moisturising on my skin. It doesn't hurt my eyes when I remove my eye makeup. It removes my mascara, eyeshadow and eyeliner very easily. It is definitely very gentle on my skin. I really enjoy the packaging on this cleanser. It is very easy to pump some product onto the cotton pads.

Cien Nourishing Facial Toner Review:
I have been enjoying this Toner just as much as the cleanser. This removes any remaining makeup off my skin. This definitely nourishes and moisturies my skin. This toner does not sting my skin. It's great at removing any eye makeup that wasn't removed by the Cleanser. The toner is very gentle on the eyes. I really enjoy the packaging on this toner. It has a pump on it. You place the cotton pad on top of the pump, push the pump down and the product disperses onto the cotton pad. This is very easy and efficient to use.

ISEREE Cotton Pads Review:
I use the cleanser and toner with these cotton pads. 120 cotton pads are included in each packet. They are very soft on the skin. The quality of these cotton pads are great. The cotton pads are thick enough to easily use both sides of them.

Cien Cleansing Milk & Facial Toner Routine:
I like to use this routine in the evening time when removing my makeup.

1. Using lukewarm water, I wet my face.
2. Pump one pump of the Cien Cleansing Milk onto a cotton pad.
3. Remove makeup from face by rubbing cotton pad with cleanser onto skin. I usually do this in sections. Each section, I use a new cotton pad. I divide the skin into 6 sections;right cheek, left cheek, forehead, left eye, right eye and neck.
4. Rinse Cleansing Milk off face with lukewarm water.
5. Pump 2-3 pumps of the Cien Facial Toner onto a cotton pad.
6. Wipe face with cotton pad. I use the same 6 sections as the cleansing milk.
7. Rinse Facial Toner off face with lukewarm water.
8. Pat face dry with towel.
9. Apply moisturiser.

Cien Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream:
Where: Lidl
Price: €1.99

I recently picked up this new moisturser. I used to always use the Cien Moisturising Cream but I started to feel like skin was beginning to become immune to the moisturising effect of the moisturiser because I was using it for so long. I went to Lidl to find a new moisturiser and found this one and I thought I would give this one a go! It has a very slight smell to it and the cream has a pale yellow colour. I really love this moisturiser! I prefer this one to the other Cien moisturiser. It's really moisturising. It leaves my skin slightly sticky. I really do love this product!

Botanics Radiance Balm All Bright:
Where: Boots
Price: €7.99

I like to apply this product after I apply the Cien moisturiser to my face and neck. I have been really enjoying this product. It contains tiny shimmers in it, it gives the appearance of dewy skin, perfect for the summer months!

Cherry Carmex:
Where: ASOS
Price: €3.50

Carmex is my favourite brand of lip balm! This Cherry Lip Balm is the BOMB! I like to apply this lip balm after I apply my face moisturiser. This is perfect for all year round. When you have dry, chapped lips, the lip balm can slightly burn your lips. I find the feeling quite satisfying as I feel like the lip balm is working it's magic!

Cien Aqua Rich Gentle Facial Wash & Daily Exfoliating Facial Wash:
Where: Lidl
Price: €0.99

I like to use these products when I'm in the shower. Once I am nearly finished in the shower, I turn the heat of the water down to lukewarm. I rinse my face in the water. I pump a drop of the Gentle Wash onto my hands and rub my hands together. I then rub this into my face in circler motions. I make sure I rub into my nose areas to remove any bumps that I might have. I rinse this off with the shower water. I pump a drop of the Exfoliating Facial Eash onto my finger tips and rub my hands together. I rub this into my face, making sure to really rub into my nose area too. I rinse this off with the shower water. I really like these facial wash products. If I have makeup on my face, these products are great at removing it, even mascara! They feel very nourishing and moisturising. I keep re-purchasing these! I love them! They don't sting my eyes either.

Well that's it!
I hope you enjoyed my skincare routine!
I am always on the look for cheap and affordable skincare products!
Definitely let me know if you try any of the above products or if you have any affordable skincare recommendations!

March Beauty & Fashion Favourites 2015

Hello Lovlies! Welcome back to Sense Of Beauty! Today's blogpost will be a list (and explanations!) of my March Beauty & Fashion Favourites of 2015! I've been using some of these products for the last few months but I thought I would compile a list of my current favourites!

I thought I would begin with Fashion as there is only one trend I am LOVING at the mo!

THE COLOUR YELLOW:

It's daffodil season, so what better time to LOVE yellow?! Lately, I've been obsessed with the colour yellow! I picked up this Fiorelli Purse in TK Maxx for €23! The Jumper with the exposed zip along the back is from Penneys and I picked it up for €5 on sale last week!! The floral lace cardigan is from Swamp and I picked it up for €10 on sale!! I think Swamp have re-stocked these cardigans, they are available in a range of colours for €19.98. Yellow looks gorgeous paired with denim jeans or white jeans! It brightens up any outfit!

Now onto my Beauty Favourites for March 2015!

COCOA BROWN 1 HOUR TAN & GRADUAL TAN:

Spring and Summer = tanning season, except for pale girls like myself! I burn with the slightest sun light so I have to explore other options! Over the past few months, I've been loving these Cocoa Brown products! I really enjoy using the Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan for night outs! It gives a gorgeous colour and doesn't smell horrible! It applies really easily (does anyone else feel a slight sense of satisfaction when rubbing the mousse in?!)

I like to apply the Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze after the shower, as a moisturiser! It doesn't give as dark a tan as the 1 Hour Tan. It's easy to build the colour with the Gentle Bronze. It feels really moisturising on your skin too. It looks very natural on your skin. Cocoa Brown products are available in Penneys, and theye're super affordable!

BOTANICS RADIANCE BALM ALL BRIGHT

I picked this product up in Boots for around €7.99. The Beautiful Truth featured this product on her facebook, she had said it was supposed to be a dupe for the MAC Strobe Cream. I have loved it ever since I picked it up!

I used to like to have a Matte Finish to my foundation, but after using this, I love the appearance of dewy skin! Dewy skin makes your skin look healthy and natural. This radiance balm has tiny glitters in it. You can apply this to your skin just before your foundation or you can mix a drop in with your foundation. I definitely recommend giving this a go if you like the appearance of dewy skin.

RIMMEL LONDON LASTING FINISH 25 HOUR NUDE FOUNDATION

I picked this foundation up when Boots was having their special offer on Rimmel London products, 2 Rimmel products for €12. I picked up the shade 100 Ivory. This shade is slightly too dark for me when I'm at my palest (without any Cocoa Brown products on). I could do with a lighter shade. When I have a light coat of the Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze on, it matches perfectly!

The lasting power is great! I can wear it to work, and it still looks great afterwards. I'm not too sure if it lasts 25 hours though! The cover is definitely buildable! You can wear it as a Light Coverage foundation or add a few coats and it can be a Medium-Heavy coverage. I prefer to use a Blending brush from Real Techniques to apply this foundation.

MAYBELLINE MATTE MAKER MATTIFYING FACE POWDER

The Maybelline Matte Maker Powder has been my favourite face powder lately! I like to apply this to my face in a patting motion, I don't like to apply the face powder in circles as it can get stuck beneath your tiny hairs on your skin and can appear cakey. It's about €6 which isn't that expensive for such a good face powder!

ESSENCE I <3 NUDE EYESHADOW

I picked this eyeshadow up in Penneys a few weeks ago. Essence has released an I <3 Nudes collection which includes Eyeshadows, Lipsticks and Lipglosses. I picked up the eyeshadow in the shade 01 Vanilla Sugar. The eyeshadow was below €3.

I use this eyeshadow to set my concealer. I use a small tapered brush to apply it. I like to apply a different setting powder to my face and concealer. I apply a concealer in a triangle shape underneath my eyes and around my nose area. I apply the concealer to these areas to cover any dark circles but to also highlight my face. If you apply the same face powder to set your concealer and foundation, you would counteract all the concealer work because your whole face will be the same colour. The eyeshadow leaves a silky finish to your skin, which also adds to the highlighted areas. The eyeshadow is soft, light and does not apply cakey. It has a gorgeous scent, just like vanilla!

NATURAL COLLECTION EYESHADOWS

Natural Collection is an excellent brand; it is inexpensive and some of the products are great quality! I picked these two eyeshadows up in Boots for €2.49 each. I picked up the shade Milk Chocolate and Crushed Walnut.

I like to apply these most days as they are the combo. I enjoy applying the shade milk chocolate into my crease as a transition shade. To deepen the crease and add definition, I apply the eyeshadow crushed walnut. If you are looking for two great matte eyeshadows - these are for you!! The pigmentation of the eyeshadows are excellent! They blend very easily and there is little to no fall out with these shadows.

MAYBELLINE COLOUR TATTOO

I bought this Maybelline Colour Tattoo Pot AGES ago but never really got much use out of it! Lately I've been loving pairing this with the two natural collection eyeshadows from above! The pigmentation of the pot is incredible and it's super easy to blend the product with a matte eyeshadow! You can use it as a base for a bronzey eyeshadow too! The lasting power is great too! I love this!! The shade is 33-On and on Bronze. It's gorgeous on people with blue eyes.

DARK LIPS

Lately, I've been loving dark lips! The closer to black, the better! I didn't have any black lipstick on hand at home so I decided to work with what I have to try and make a dark lipstick! I first applied a NYX Pencil Eyeliner in Black to my lips. On top of that I applied Wet'n'Wild's lipstick in Black Cherry. I loved it! For nights out, super dark lips are gorgeous!

ESSENCE LIPLINERS

Essence Lipliners are the BOMB! They can be purchased in Penneys for a TINY €1.29!! I love these! I have 3 shades; 06 Satin Mauve, 11 In The Nude & 14 Femme Fatale. These can be worn by themselves or underneath a lipstick. They have excellent pigmentation and their lasting power is great! To re-create a Kylie Jenner Lip, you can apply 06 Satin Mauve to your lips! These are great and I definitely recommend them!

RÓISÍN'S FIRST DISCO!! OOTN & MOTN

Hello Lovlies! Welcome back to another blogpost on Sense Of Beauty! Today's blogpost will be an OOTN & MOTN for Róisín, my younger sister, off to her very first disco! Everyone's first disco is pretty historic in your teenage memories! My first disco was when I was in Transition Year! :O

I thought it would be nice to document what Róisín wore in terms of her outfit and makeup, so in a few years time she could look back and see how much she's grown and perhaps changed!

I hope you enjoy this short and sweet blogpost!
Keep reading to find out what outfit and makeup Róisín wore! :)

O U T F I T:

We didn't want Róisín to be too dressy for her first disco and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable and confident in what she was wearing!

Checkered Shirt | Penneys (From YONKS ago!!)
Navy Strap Top | Penneys
Denim Shorts | Penneys
Navy Tights | Penneys
Red Converse | Penneys

Róisín loved this outfit! Mum wanted to make sure it was appropriate for Róisín's age too - she's only 13!

H A I R:

Róisín usually wears her hair up in a pony-tail! I decided to straighten her hair to change it up a bit! I was so surprised at how long her hair has grown! :O I straightened Róisín's hair to remove any frizzies or fly-aways she might have had!

M A K E U P:

When doing Róisin's makeup, I didn't want to do anything too dramatic!!

-Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Nude Foundation in 100 Ivory (Applied to face and neck)
-W7 Go Concealer in Fair (Applied to under eye area and cheek bone area to act as a highlight to the face)
-Essence I <3 Nude Eyeshadow in 01 Vanilla Sugar (Applied directly on top of the W7 Go Concealer)
-Maybelline Matte Maker Powder in 10 Classic Ivory (Applied to remainder of face and neck)
-NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder in 720A Sunny (Applied to the perimeter of Róisín's face to slightly contour and add warmth to her face)
-Art Deco Blusher in 44 (Applied to Róisín's cheek bones)

-Collection Colour Lash All Day Wear Mascara in 3 Brown (Applied lightly to Róisín's eyebrows)
-Inglot Eyeshadow in 31 (Gold Shade) (Applied to Róisín's lid)
-Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate (Applied to Róisín's crease as a transition shade)
-Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Crushed Walnut (Applied to Róisín's outer corner and crease to add dimension)

-W7 Eyebrow Bar (Darkest Shade) (Applied to Róisín's upper and lower lash line to act like eyeliner)
-Collection Longer Lash Lengthening Mascara in 17 Ultra Black

That's it!
I hope you enjoyed this as much as Róisín enjoyed her first disco! :P
I hope this blogpost brought back some great memories of your very first disco!
Why not leave a comment describing your very first disco? I'd say we all have our fair share of cringe-worthy moments, but also memories we love!
See you in my next blogpost!
